You’re Not Crazy — You’re Carrying Too Much Alone

Dear Readers,

There are moments when the pressure builds so quietly, so gradually, that you don’t even realize how much you’ve been holding in — until suddenly, you’re drowning in it. And it spills out in a burst: words you didn’t mean, silence that shuts everyone out, anger you can’t explain, or tears you didn’t plan to cry.

And then the shame hits.

“What’s wrong with me?”

“Why did I do that?”

“Why am I like this?”

I want to gently say this to whoever needs it today:

You’re not crazy.

You’re not broken.

You’re carrying too much alone.

We live in a world that praises strength — but only the kind that keeps quiet. We’re expected to keep going, keep working, keep surviving, no matter what’s unraveling inside. But the truth is, even strong people collapse when they’ve been carrying pain in silence for too long.

I’ve been there. I’ve seen it in myself, and I’ve seen it in people I love.

Sometimes the shutdowns, the panic, the anger — they’re not who we are.

They’re signs.

Signs that our mind and soul are begging for relief.

Signs that we’ve run out of emotional oxygen.

But here’s the good news:

  • There is healing for the overwhelmed.

  • There is peace for the restless.

  • There is hope even in the middle of a mental storm.

And you don’t have to find it alone.

You don’t have to wait until everything is “bad enough” to get help.

You don’t have to be ashamed of the days when it all feels too heavy.

And you definitely don’t have to carry your battles quietly just to prove you’re strong.

Strength isn’t silence.

Strength is knowing when you need support — and choosing to reach for it.

God sees the pain you haven’t been able to name.

He’s not angry with you. He’s not disappointed in your confusion, your breakdowns, or your need for help. He’s ready to walk with you through it.

And so are the people He’s placed in this world to help you heal — counselors, therapists, pastors, friends, and trusted hearts who’ve walked their own dark valleys.

If you’re carrying more than your soul was ever meant to bear, it’s time to loosen your grip.

Not everything has to be fixed in one day. But maybe today is the day you finally stop pretending you’re fine.

There’s no shame in healing.

There’s no weakness in therapy.

There’s no defeat in saying, “I need help.”

You are not too far gone.

You are not too much.

You are not alone.

With grace and light,

Just Catrina
